Local/International Journalist Accreditation
The Foreign Media Affairs provides accreditation for journalists and media personnel resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Media establishments posting personnel in Bahrain or renominating existing personnel if their annual accreditation has expired must send a formal letter to His Excellency the Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Media Affairs in the Ministry of Information to obtain official approval. In the letter they should provide details of the subjects the correspondents are anticipated to cover, along with the aims of their missions. Please also provide your correspondents, contact numbers.
After receiving your letter the Foreign Media Affairs will process the application, and in this regard we will contact your correspondent to complete the necessary procedures. Correspondents should apply for a press ID card.
All correspondence should be typed on your formal letterheads (logo mandatory), signed and stamped and sent to the ministry of information via courier or by fax on the following number (+973-17781400).
